What if I'm right?

Do you ever spend time listening to the "struggle within"?


You know, when there's a part of you that thinks one way, and there's another part of you that thinks a different way?

You're not insane.


This happens to most people whether they are willing to admit it or not.


In sharing with a friend about the struggle within, we shared about our beliefs and hopes.


She does not believe in God or Jesus in the same way I do. We don't argue about it. We listen, we share, we hear each other out.


I was sharing about how I feel a tug to do something to help people in the area of faith and shared some of the things I believe God has taken me through, i.e. "Nun run", South America, Camino de Santiago de Compostela, Belize, ... (more info in "About" page)


Then there's a part of me that says I need to focus on other more practical things, like finish the house, simplify life, etc. ...


So basically, discerning the call from God, right.


She listened attentively and thoughtfully for a bit. Then she said, "what if you're doing all this and you're wrong? What if there is no Heaven or Hell? What if you've wasted all this time, energy, and money, and it's all been for nothing? "


I thought about her question. A sincere question. She was truly serious.


Then the answer came. It was simple. I came from deep within.
